Exceptional Parenting Groups are now registering for April. Each group meets for four consecutive weeks during the month.

Week 1:  Exceptional Parenting: the spirit in the home

Week 2:  Exceptional Parenting:  the well ordered existence

Week 3:  Exceptional Parenting:  the just and merciful parent

Week 4:  Enduring Relationships:  agency and love in marriage

Cost: $20 per session plus $20 for the workbook = total cost of $100

You must register for the entire course, not for individual weeks. If you miss a session, you may make up that session without additional charge.

Daytime Groups for Mothers

Tuesdays 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Thursdays 9:00 am – 10:30 am

Evening Groups for Individuals or Couples

Tuesdays 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Wednesdays 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

These courses are taught from an LDS perspective. They are not remedial coursesm but are for those interested in parenting at an optimal level.

Bountiful/Davis Art Center’s Annual Statewide Competition will be exhibited from February 26 through April 2. This is one of the longest-running juried visual arts exhibitions in Utah highlighting the works of Utah’s most creative visual artists.

The competition is open to all professional Utah artists. Original works of art in the following media will be accepted: watercolor, oil, acrylic, mixed media, drawings, graphics, photographs, weavings/textiles and sculpture. Artists may enter up to three original works, completed within the last two years and not previously exhibited at BDAC. There is a non-refundable entry fee of $10.00 per work. BDAC members’ entry fee is $7.00 per work. The entry dates for this year’s competition are Tuesday - Saturday, February 16-20, from 10:00 until 5 pm. No entries will be accepted after 5 pm on February 20.

The jurors for this year’s competition are John O. Erickson, artist and Adjunct Professor, Department of Art and Art History, University of Utah and David Erickson, owner of David Erickson Fine Art in Salt Lake. Results of the jury action will be emailed and/or mailed to all artists on Monday, February 22. Awards include $400 First Place, $250 Second Place, $150 Third Place and Honorable Mentions.

There will be an Opening Reception honoring this year’s artists selected for the Annual Competition on Friday, February 26, beginning at 7:00 pm. The Awards Ceremony will begin at 8:00 pm.
